Have you seen Frisco? Austin Pets Alive! says dog taken off campus by unauthorized person

APA! said it has alerted other Austin-area animal shelters in its search for the dog.

AUSTIN, Texas — The same day Austin Pets Alive! (APA!) had its transport van stolen, the shelter made another sad discovery.

According to APA!, an 8-month-old dog named Frisco was taken from the shelter early Sunday morning.

APA! said an unauthorized person took Frisco off campus and that he hasn't been seen since. According to APA! officials, they've searched the grounds, posted on lost and found pages, distributed flyers and even alerted other area animal shelters in their mission to find Frisco.

APA! said Frisco is a friendly lab mix that weighs about 50 pounds. If you spot him, you're asked to call APA! at 512-961-6519 or email info@austinpetsalive.org.

Meanwhile, APA! said its transport van was recovered several hours after being stolen from its downtown campus. Unfortunately, the van no longer runs and the facility's gate suffered about $13,000 in damage.
