AUSTIN, Texas — Ford Sanders joined the KVUE News team in October of 2022 as an on-air reporter/multiskilled journalist.

He is originally from Nashville, Tennessee, and is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville, where he earned a degree in journalism and electronic media.

Ford spent the last year working in Louisville, Kentucky. There, he covered stories ranging from devastating floods across eastern Kentucky to the federal investigation into the Breonna Taylor case involving the indictments of four Louisville Metro Police Department officers.

Before his time in Louisville, Ford reported in eastern North Carolina, covering a variety of topics and breaking news across the Innerbanks and Outerbanks.

He also reported for WVLT News in Knoxville, Tennessee, as a digital reporter/content producer while in college. He parted ways with the company when he was offered an internship with CBS News in New York City and CBS Evening News with Norah O’Donnell.

Prior to his time at WVLT News, Ford lived in Prague, Czech Republic, for the summer of 2019 and worked as an international fellow with Transitions Online News and Reuters.

Ford was awarded the Courtney Lyle Broadcast Scholarship and the UTK Journalism School’s Broadcast Excellence Scholarship.

Outside of his time at KVUE, Ford loves being with friends and exploring new parts of the city.

Ford is excited to be in Central Texas and is happy to know it's an easy flight away from his hometown in Tennessee.
