AUSTIN, Texas — We're expecting a really awesome weekend with a lot of activities planned across Central Texas!
Here's what we're tracking.
Round Rock Express Opening Day on Friday
Friday is opening day for the Round Rock Express at Dell Diamond against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys. We're expecting a pleasant night with temperatures in the lower 70s for first pitch at 7:15 p.m.
It could also be a little breezy, with winds at around 10 to 15 mph, and with winds coming out of the south, and hitters facing north, the ball could travel farther than normal on fly balls.
Austin FC on Saturday
We're tracking mainly mid-80s for the weekend, with Saturday's highs around 83 under partly cloudy skies. Another great afternoon ahead of the Austin FC vs. FC Dallas match at Q2 Stadium Saturday night. It could also be a bit breezy and muggy with that southerly flow.
Easter Sunday
While we expect lows in the mid-60s for Easter Sunday morning, we will once again warm up to the lower 80s for any afternoon egg hunts. It may be a wee bit muggy, but expect an "egg-cellent" afternoon for candy hunting.
We are tracking storm chances within the next seven days, but the main chance doesn't arrive until Monday night and even then, the chance is only around 40%.
This forecast is fluid, given how far out we are, so stick with KVUE for the latest. In the meantime, your 7-day outlook is below:
