What Does Internet Time Mean?
Internet time means the time it takes to perform an activity on the Internet, usually depicting it as faster compared to doing the same activity offline.
The term comes from the fact that digital transactions in any form are shortened deliberately and that the amount of time required when conducting multiple simultaneous transactions is reduced dramatically.
Techopedia Explains Internet Time
Everything is perceived to be much faster when Internet time is applied because it is possible for one person to conduct multiple activities in the same physical location, even though the activities themselves occur in different virtual locations.
For example, a person can simultaneously book a plane ticket, transfer money from one bank account to another and shop for a new laptop using multiple browser windows. Done physically at an electronics store, a travel agency and a bank branch, these three transactions could take several hours, while on the Internet they could be conceivably concluded in a matter of minutes.
